Over the Memorial Day weekend a lot happened in golf. Keegan Bradley showed that the rookies might know a thing or two about golf. Bradley found a victory at the HP Byron Nelson Championship this weekend. This was Bradley’s first PGA Tour win. No stranger to the game his Aunt is LPGA hall of famer Pat Bradley. Outlasting the rest of the field he two putted a victory over Ryan Palmer.
A big weekend for the golf rankings as well. A much debated over topic recently after the top position has been easily swayed from golfer to golfer. Lee Westwood was the first to dethrone Tiger this past November. Recently it was been a battle between Martin Kaymer and Westwood with quiet a few other golfers nipping at a chance to take over that position. Now Luke Donald has thrown himself into the standings. His win over Westwood at the BMW PGA Championship solidified his position to become the #1 golfer according to the official world golf rankings.
Tom Watson proved that he’s still got it. Winning the Senior PGA Championship he became the second oldest to due so at the age of 61. If he stays this course I have no doubt he will break that record again in a year.
