Woodland’s Win At Innisbrook

A relatively new golf athlete Gary Woodland was one of those “rookie” players to finish on top this weekend at the Transitions Championship. The field was really a toss up as Woodland couldn’t even make par on the back 9 until the last hole (5 birdies and 3 bogey’s-no I wasn’t counting) it was really anyone’s win. The leader really was a toss up during this whole match. But it was Woodland who came out on top, marking his first win after 3 top 6 losses. He is one of 3 players to capture their first win this season along with Jhonny Vegas, and D.A. Points.  Scoring this win has also given him a place at Augusta National for the Masters (his first). I don’t know about you but those commercials for the Masters are really starting to get me excited, less than a month away until the biggest most hyped tournament in golf starts.
