The latest golf gossip surrounds the gracious player and sportsmanlike conduct which Rory McIlroy has been carrying on ever since his Master failure. I wholeheartedly agree with this and I think that it’s impressive to see a 21 year old have a bit more class than someone more experienced in the public eye such as let’s say Tiger Woods.
However, people may be taking this a bit out of hand. I commend him on his gracious loosing but to praise him on his sportsmanship seems to be going a bit over the top. If you were in his position of course you would be upset with the way you played on the back 9 final day at the Masters after leading for 3 days-Would you show the public that?-no. As much credit as I give Rory I also give to the managers telling him don’t freak out it’s not going to look good. Yes, I do feel sorry for him he lost his chance to win the Masters had to take a private plane to Malaysia with the winner and then they lost his bags. It’s been a rough few days for the kid but with the way he can play I don’t think this will be the last we hear of Rory McIlroy.
