Opening Round At The Wells Fargo Championship

It was Bill Haas who lead at the end of day at the Wells Fargo Championship. The Quail Hollow course in Charlotte N.C. was definitely good to a few people. Haas made birdies on the par 5s and played a solid game on Thursday. Ever more impressive than that he matched the tournament record for lowest opening round score with 8-under 64, not to mention he also has a 2 shot lead against his competitors Jonathan Byrd and Lucas Glover.  Unfortunately hoping to see Rory McIlroy step up to keep his crown from this victory he is 11 shots behind. It’s still a long weekend and as I’m quickly learning the first round is definitely only the beginning and a lot can change.
