A Tale of Two Teammates

A tale of two teammates it what it came down to yesterday in the final sudden death playoff match between Lucas Glover and Jonathan Byrd. Both former Clemson University teammates took their talent to the finals of the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow in S.C. After a deadly tee shot into the bunker seemingly sealed Byrd’s fate and a brush with a water hazard marked his immanent death. Glover’s putting provided him with the title win. It will be a memorable Mother’s Day present to his mom who was sitting in the stands watching.

I would like to take a moment to recognize one of golf’s most passionate and inspiring players who passed away this weekend. Seve Ballesteros had an absolutely incredible career, he broke records, paved the way for many players, and his charisma captivated audiences. Throughout his career he gathered 91 professional wins, 5 major championships, and is credited to turning the European Tour into a place for the elite golfer.

Good to see Lucas Glover win this tournament. He has been struggling of late and is also going through a divorce.

See was a true champion of the game of golf and will be sorely missing. He amazed us all with his imagination and skills around the golf course.
